DebateFlow benchmark
At long last, after automating debaters, I’m trying to automate debate judges, too. See DebateFlow for more details.
9 things I'm doing, sorted by the thread they pull on rather than when they last shifted. The strip below charts the year by week — every blog post, talk, episode, or now-update is one tally.
What I do for a living and what I keep poking at after hours.

I’m attempting to apply the known best practices from software engineering and data engineering to LLM-based apps. Testing, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and more.
I do this at my current full-time job. I use side projects to test out new ways. I share my learnings in presentations and blog posts. I’m this close to dreaming about it at night.
Microphone, lectern, slide deck. Mostly Czech-language.
I’ve been a co-host of Data Talk — all about data practitioiners, data & AI — since late 2024. I’ve also co-founded AI ta Krajta — a YouTube channel about AI. Both are Czech-language; both are great fun. You can keep track of my episodes on my Podcasts page.
I’ve also started to focus more on making and giving talks, which you can track on my Presentations page.
Helping the next bench learn the thing.
After an inaugural course on AI at Discover 2025, I’m teaching a “Create with AI” course to more high-school students this year. Excited about it.
I’ve been working with Czechitas since 2024, mostly in Data Science and AI-related courses, which I’ve been also helping develop. Most recently, I’ve co-taught Data Science Foundations in Python, which is a 11-week intermediate course, and Data & AI, which is a two-evening course.
Truth-seeking by argument. The longest-running thread.

Other than a garden-variety judge, I’ve been a Board member of the main Czech debate organization (Asociace debatních klubů) since 2023. This means that I spend a lot of time thinking about the direction the organization and its didactics should take.

Games, songs, hobbies. The bits between the work.
I’ve been playing entirely too much Race for the Galaxy on boardgamearena.com, and almost as much WordFeud. It’s a terrible habit.
The ongoing, mortifying experiment.
I’m in the process of moving to London. Exciting new chapter!
My body is hilariously inflexible. I don’t imagine this will change easily. But there’s a yoga studio on the basement floor of my office building, and I’m coming around to the idea that publically humiliating myself in front of a bevy of skilled practitioners might be a good muscle to exercise.
